Kaycie is usually good about going to bed. The only thing lately she has been complaining about is sleeping in our bed. She wants to stay. So for the past few nights she has been asking us if she can sleep in our bed. We say no but every night when I go to bed I find myself carrying a sleeping six year old from our bed, back to her own room. Just to find she returns some point during the night.
Tonight Jen had one of those discussions with her.
Kaycie asks, “Can I stay in here tonight?”
Mom answered, “No, Kaycie, not tonight.”
Kaycie asks, “Why not, Mommy?”
Mom replies, “Well, you’re getting so big, that you might push Mommy out of the bed.”
With her incredibly wise reasoning, Kaycie then says, “Would it help if I pushed Daddy out of the bed?”
